Thanks to some unintended procrastination and sudden car trouble, my Otakon Attendance Record will look like this:

2006: 1 day
2007: all three days, went to see the masquerade
2008: all three days, went to see Masquerade, had lots of photos taken of me.
2009: C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!
2010: ????

I'm a little upset that I won't make it to otakon, but that might be just as well; my Drop Pilot Costume does not have all the components I need.

But I will be pissed if all I have to look forward to this year is Zenkaikon. and even then, there won't be as much to do. Because I will be staffing, and "power-tripping" if the screaming fangirls get on my last nerve. Which they probably will, if years' past are any indication.

So it's Valentine's eve here where I live, and it's lovely because it is/was snowing downtown. Unfortunately, I don't quite have a grasp as to how to begin a romantic relationship, so for the umpteenth time, I am kind of sad and roneree on Valentine's Day.

Enough sob story. Let's change to something completely different. Like, food! There we go! :grin:
I've been on a sort of culinary kick lately, raiding my spice cabinet more often than I have done in the past. Some onion powder and and steakhouse seasoning made for some pretty tasty burgers last night, and before that, I enjoyed a delicious Grilled Cheese and Bacon sandwich from a small deli on the other side of town; totally worth the walk. I also learned a simple recipe for a delicious dessert known as Mississippi Mud (which I can hopefully make even if I go to college; will post pictures of the finished product)that requires no firing up of the oven, only placement in the freezer.

Even right now, I have a container of chocolate chip cookies in my lap. It seems that I'm always eating as of late. I need to stop before I gain too much weight.

so today is my 18th birthday....

What? You were expecting more? It's not that big a deal...

Although, I'm probably the eldest in the entire Junior class....

I'm so happy to have witnessed this grand event in Philadelphia sports history. I wanted to set off a lot of these bottle rockets I have, but I don't wanna disturb the neighbors too much. *lives in an apartment building with old people*
